Re: Jistics 2005 MVP All-Star Sliders

Had a couple of great games with the sliders (slightly modified). 5-4 ANA(me)-BOS in 13 innings. I had game tying HR in the ninth with Beltre against Hoffman (fantasy draft). Just before, I lost 8-5 against the CWS. They were up 5-1 after I allowed a Grand Slam. Got even in the 8th, drawing a couple of walks with the bases loaded. Then I gave them back the lead when in the bottom of the inning. I'm loving it, it feels so real. I have pitcher fatigue at (-6) for user and the ratio fatigue/pitch count looks perfect both for starters and relievers. I just think the CPU is a little too patient sometimes with their pitchers, but aside from that I don't see myself changing anything right now.

Jistic the CPU threw about 4-6 walks in my last game which I lost 3-1. I didn't throw any walks but I think that is because I'm throwing in the strike zone too much. They are getting lots of hits off me, I think thats the reason.

Yep, you're right about that. I do have some new pitching sliders that I'm gonna test a little bit more now that I have some time. I might have something to post later.

BTW, I don't know if you caught my question. I rarely take many pitches but I found that I am being walked A LOT with the V2 sliders. 8 BB's with Schmidt pitching. Anything I can change and by how much?

Also, is it supposed to be really hard to turn double plays this year because my success rate at that is really low even on sharp grounders right at the SS.
If you're being walked too much, you can lower the CPU ball frequency. That will help. Also, double plays are fine for me. I've turned many. Just make sure youre 'pre-loading' your throws!

Re: Jistics 2005 MVP All-Star Sliders

jistic, how's it going with the new pitching adjustments? i hardly ever walk anyone with my pitcher(1 a game if i'm lucky), so i don't know how your going to fix that, whether its cpu taking more balls, or making it harder to pitch w/ the pitch meter, or pitcher control. but whatever just letting you know my feedback, can't wait till the next one you put out!!

I would think you would either have to raise the meter difficulty and/or make the CPU hit you harder so you are inclined to throw more balls. I haven't been walking anyone of late either since i got used to the meter going faster but have been getting rocked a few times (meaning i should have thrown more balls) .

Re: Jistics 2005 MVP All-Star Sliders

Ok here is the latest I'm using. This isn't really a major change. Just some messing with a few things. I just walked the CPU 5 times my last game and I'm using vibration ON with no cursor at all. I love it. Here ya go...

Pitch Cursor: Off (Fade if you're really having problems)
Hitters Eye: On
Catch Circle Assist: On
Variable Strike Zone, 'Stuff', and Blown Calls: On
Vibration: On if you use no cursor/OFF if you use 'Fade' with cursor.

Pitching MG Difference: 0
That's it really. If you play cursor off but have problems, go ahead and turn vibration on. I still walked a ton of guys with it on. I'm seeing the CPU steal a little TOO much so I lowered that. And yes I raised the hell out of Human contact, but it doesn't seem to do much. The biggest change was lowering HUman pitcher fatigue and lowering the control just a touch. I messed with the meter but ya know what, I like it where it is. Gonna play these for a good long while now. In order to really test them I need to change NOTHING and play a TON of games.

Feedback appreciated.
