24 PIP for Trae young in a half on HOF just now. I think I saw help once when Lou Will was on but still laughably easy.

Does the Czar ever say we should give up hope or does he just stop posting? I know he's a good guy and all but I hate the silence on 2k's behalf.

If this is the final product launch was soooo duplicitous. How could you ever trust the company again?

OS should think about changing their review as at this stage that's a totally different game and I'd hate for someone to spend their hard earned based on that review. I know I waited a couple of weeks before purchasing and the positive feedback on here was a huge contributing factor in me coughing up my mulla.

Sorry to rant but I feel shafted. Been away from games since ps3 so I wasn't aware that companies can manipulate the game so much with patches. Lesson learned I guess...never buy a video game until all patches are done.

The only defensive complaints here was the unrealistic magnet on ball D. And everyone loved doubles which are gone. Never the help and drive D. Right now I’m still getting magnet perimeter d and no help on drives when I manage to get by the perimeter guy.

Don’t get me wrong, given a choice I’ll take magnet on ball D over defenders asleep like 2K21, but the defense right now works in reverse of how it should.

Lol! It’s changed like 3x in a week. At first I had no rotations yet everyone else did, then I got an update 2 days later & I was just happy that I saw some rotations (before analyzing the help), then I realized the help was bad and it’s like playing the game on rookie.

I had 1 game where Jamal Murray had 9 assists in the 1st quarter (could have been 12-13 if I didn’t miss wide open jumpers) then in another I had 20 points in the 1st quarter. Keep in mind I almost literally put every cpu slider maxed out to try and toughen it up. But I was stress testing.

At this point though I have to put the game down until it’s fixed. There is nothing we can do but wait for a fix. No roster edit and no slider can fix the bad rotations or lack there of…

Serous question though. Do games get tested before a patch is released? Or do they just make the fixes and send it off and pray? I can’t imagine they played this and said ya this is good to go…

I imagine you can't account for everything and every scenario when things go live.

I mean this thread says it all as far as variables go.

There's people saying doubles don't exist 3 posts after a video showing doubles existing.

Ya, I have seen people saying that but I have seen doubles ever since launch. Just odd different takes and experiences but id imagine there might be different experiences on different platforms going on here that might make it hard to decipher between what needs what?

These inconsistincies were the reason why i came on the forums last year and before and before that year Rob, a lot of people were playing different games and i did my best to explain all in good manner not you but some who didn't experience what i've or someone else been experiencing wouldn't really understand us and all they did was to say to us that don't keep on whining or why are you here and saying all these similar stuff etc.

Now most guys can get to see what's really wrong with 2K,too on a different part of the game with a bigger picture of understanding how the game plays differently from one to another.

The game is always connected to servers and gets tuning through roster updates or else and the game keeps changing and gets more inconsistent from one person to another, morning to nite, on one console to another, current to next and on and on so.. These tunes, little patches or whatever is definitely causing more bugs than 2k realize they would.

Ever since roster tuning got in, ever since 2k started to get all the data from users even on offline games etc. and that started with 2k15-16 times things started go on a different route. (CG years) We've seen atrocious 2k17 shooting remember...

I know that this post won't get much understanding,too because it's hard to explain and comprehend of all the experineces and testing i've been doing and seeing over the years but still it's good let it out of my system.

I have seen/ heard a lot of odd stuff. There are people saying they are seeing fouls and even more so the jump shot fouls yet in the like 35 games I have played cpu has been fouled on a 3 only 1 time me not once and only like 3 times have I seen a foul on a mid range jump shot. I played 2 games on superstar and had my 2 biggest wins a 39 and 47 point win. I have had been playing on all star. So superstar seems to be easier. Selecting custom sliders and putting in sliders plays way different even if the sliders are the same compared to picking all star and then putting in those sliders. This thread yet I am not really seeing a issue with defense over all my self. The first roster update we got changed the gameplay for sure took the stick defense away but 2k said they didn't change the gameplay but it was a night and day difference.

I don’t think I got the update that broke the defense. I was gone to Vegas from October 1st to the 5th. I’m just now being prompted to update to version 1.008.000.

I’m really interested in testing how the new Shot Coverage can be utilized with higher defense strength settings. I’ve always felt the game played better and triggered more animations with higher defense sliders, but the negative effects on shooting percentage were always untenable. Now we should be able to get the best of both worlds.

Sadly the Shot Coverage Impact slider affects also the timing window for open shots, so if you lower that slider you also lower the timing window for open shots. If you put it low enough so that contested shots in the mid range - where the timing window is large enough so that lowering it has no huge impact on how many shots you or the CPU can make when open - to go in at a "realistic" percentage then it will be very hard to make threes (also if wide open) even when you or the CPU are exactly on the line, let alone being able to make deep threes with someone as Lillard or Curry. Try for example to put the slider at 10 and make shots from three with Curry in Freestyle, and you will see how much smaller the timing window for making shots (even when wide open) becomes in comparison to default 50.

We would really need instead a slider that affects the impact that contesting has on the making of jumpshots and only that (without affecting anything else). I hoped at first that Shot Coverage Impact would do just that but sadly it is also tied to a bonus for open shots that messes up everything (especially because the bonus is tied to timing window and not making % per se). The best of the best would be to have two separate sliders, one affecting the opening bonus and one affecting the contested bonus. As it is now they are tied so you cannot change one without affecting the other.

Its funny how a year of defensive improvements are just removed with updates two weeks after the release - I mean it was the main point on the gampelay courtside report this year!

Must agree, with all the (past) updates something happened about CPU defense, in a bad way for offline players, especially the few ones who play MYNBA (offline) with player lock.

Now i can score easily over 40 points a game with player lock (Point Guard Position) , before that i had more realistic stats and more pressure when attacking the basket, also AI reacted better (Pick & Roll).

Now i score too many easy points in paint, even with a guy like Ricky Rubio...

Also must say the game feels overall unbalanced, bad teams you can outscore easy, very good teams you will be burned away, it does not feel smart, it feels just overpowered by CPU.

Would be great if 2K would separate offline and online gameplay. And please include better Roster-Creators (Tendencies, Badges, Signatures should be updated...)

Its a different audience. Czar even tweeted that the help defense update / removal was to please the "comp players". And they are more valued than sim player because they spent more money than us (Czar even tweeted this). So its no wonder that the game is changed with those players in mind.

A seperation between offline vs CPU and online settings would be huge because I dont see how you can please both sides at the same time.
