Sigh....just went into scrimmage. Saw some help. Not consistent, not always from the right spot, but I saw some.

I guess my new aim/minigame is to see how many PIP I can get whilst maxxing out defensive settings on HOF.

At 1/2 time I got up to 68. Trae with 38 on 19/20 ,Capela with 14 7/8 and Collins with 8 on 4/5.

This is sooooo fun just like 2k21 but with $89 rookies. Can’t believe how intelligent the AI is. Technology continues to amaze me each year!

We all knew how this was going to go. They said they wouldn't do it but they caved like always to the group who cries at launch. Nobody wants to adjust to the new 2k gameplay ever, they just get on twitter and spam them until they change it and make it play like every other 2k.

Just look at people STILL complaining about steals. Nobody wants to adjust to steals, just complain until they are nerfed until they are useless. Anybody want to make a bet that by 2k23 release steals are useless on 2k22? I already expected it.

Sometimes I wonder why Sim players torture themselves with the AI, sliders, and everything in between trying to get realistic outcomes. None of these issues are magnified when you play in online leagues against actual human beings who know when and where to bring help amongst other anticipatory and reactionary counters that an AI can never replicate. Join an online league with like minded Sim ballers and Grow the online league community. Stop torturing yourselves with offline play against the robotic and deeply flawed AI. Once you find a legit online league you will cease the madness and torture of dealing with the AI.

I can write an essay to respond to what you just said but rather do something else, in short, I like playing with the AI, and not against other USER, I like building a team winning championship in myleague mode, have been doing that for 10 years, simple as this.

And this is interesting. Ive seen it a fair bit. A CPU defender reacts to the roll. No help comes, but this indcates the game does recognise when a roll comes. Watch Garland in the corner.

Even as someone who plays in online leagues like you (as you know) this is an odd statement to make, especially since it's like inflammatory on some level as well since online leagues are just not an option for many peeps for a variety of reasons. Even I don't do them every year because it's just not always manageable.

These things impact online leagues just like they do AI. A core part of the problem is you can't make individual players do what you need to do because not all the defensive settings even work, which is arguably a much bigger deal for online leagues and head-to-head play than even against AI where you can handicap yourself and tweak sliders etc. If individual settings were followed and such, then you wouldn't need to babysit everyone and do all the other stuff where you're swapping off-ball etc. to move peeps around and so on.

So, yeah, bad take, sorry mate. You know it pains me to say it to such a worthy long-time legend.

In theory, but you would need to delete the install that happens with your disc, then re-install but never connect your console to the internet to get the updates.

I lost faith in Czar. I’m resorting to sliders: making defense OP and watering down the offensive play. It’s really the only solution to enjoying this game (for me).

With all due respect- it's quite the opposite.

The outdated nose in air view toward online play is alive well...particularly in the "sim" community..

I can't remember a time where an online player came into a MyGm/League thread lamenting how they aren't interested in the mode, and that its mere exististance annoys them...or trying to equate their mode preference with maturity level.

I understand ame's approach isn't for everyone...TBH it should moreso be geared toward our frustrated online sim brothers....but I get it

Are people really only using the pick and roll to turbo by the defender and throw lobs? If you actually use the screen, the mid range game is viable.
