      Man, good call. Sorry. I forget all the different systems being on different updates, etc. So the x box next gen is different and the 1 with the updates. No idea on others so you chiming in helps. I should be careful saying fixed/improved. I was only speaking and showing videos of next gen footage. That is definitely better now as you can see in the clips. But, My bad not clarifying.

        Ps4 got a 29gb patch this morning, just downloaded.

        No city uniforms in that may come with a roster tweak from officials today.

          Is it actually fixed for next gen? I’m not seeing consistent improvements. Still no help on mismatches and inconsistent (if existent) help on drives. One thing I have seen is maybe more eager double teaming, but even that has been a little iffy.

          Maybe I’m not focusing on it enough, but it didn’t feel like help defense was completely mended when I just played.

            "Fixed" in terms of an internet forum full of opinions is subjective.

            I am on ps5 and I would not say it's
            "Fixed" but it is miles better than it was a couple days ago.

            I actually had fun playing again.

              This has never happened before in any game. The help came on a drive but never followed by a switch out scramble.



              Here is what used to happen in that situation.

              Look at this stunt by cpu morant on the pick and pop. I’ve never seen that either.



              The only thing I see that’s not happening is this on the pnpop. This was in September.

              It’s most definitely improved on next gen. Not perfect but greatly improved. It still varies though in coverages and there are still open lanes but I don’t think we want perfect everytime though either. But still room for improvement for sure in some things. But hard to argue some of the things I just showed as none of that was happening before. So it’s improved is a better word than fixed maybe.

              On top of all that though I’m sure sliders being used and skill level people play at might factor in slightly as well? A example of this is ive been putting both teams coach help sliders at 100 to see if that helped and worked again so maybe if that is working as it should could be why I see something or get something slightly different? I don’t know for sure but just saying it could be a factor? Keep in mind most teams are at 35 and 50 there out of the box.

                Vann you're saying Coaching Help Slider works now?

                Are you seeing any difference from being on a default difficulty (HOF, SS, AS etc) vs being on Custom?

                  No, I just put it there at 100 just in case. I haven’t tested it. I was just giving some context of how my game MIGHT be different. Same thing with the 2nd question I haven’t gotten very far besides just playing a few games and capturing some videos. So I can’t say on either of these things. But I’d love to think they fixed help sliders but I would have to see it at 0 as well. Before help was hard coded so I’m sure it’s probably the same now? But if you test let me know your findings please. It would be awesome if it does again.

                  I mean I know I’m not the only 1 seeing it as 24, Arob, cujomatty, and eljimmy have all chimed in seeing difference too. I was just saying maybe that could be reason if I was seeing it more often than others with no idea if that would even be the reason.

                      I know it shouldn't be this way so don't get me wrong but that wide turbo around a pnr isn't going to be fixed anytime soon I bet. Gotta police yourself on that one.

                        This makes me wonder if it’s slight slider or roster thing after seeing this but I think others play stock rosters and stock HOF settings and saw more help so idk?!

                          The help defense is better but:

                          1. The cpu defenders come a step to late and are still not sagging off enough off ball.

                          2. The cpu is way to hell bent on defending jumpers. The Cpu goes all out to prevent jumpers, even if it means giving up the wide open paint.

                          The defense is outside in as opposed to inside out.

                            I finally gave in and lowered jumper defensive strength sliders to 30 for both sides. It’s like a breath of fresh air. I actually have a shooting game again. Downside is CPU can hit shots easier now and they never had a problem doing that since I don’t glue onto them at the perimeter. I could’ve only done it for my side but figured to keep it even between both.

                            The perimeter defenders will guard every shot like it’s the last shot in Finals game 7 so the only thing we can do is make their jump shot defense more invisible.

                              Agree. Not sure if you are talking on drives or PNR’s? But on the pnr replays you can see the tag man leave as the roller starts his roll (but the roller rolls late/delayed) so from what I see the ball handler gets to paint as roll starts sometimes hence why I have seen slight delay in tagging or coming over. It’s just slight though. I’m sure the tag is tied directly to when the roll starts from what it looks like so it seems to vary on different PNR plays. Some rolls roll faster or if they are higher it gives more time for tag to come as ball handler doesn’t get as deep in the paint. That’s just me analyzing PNR instant replays.

                              Yes this helps tremendously and like you said breath of fresh air. More realistic.

                              Problem is for those guys is they play online too so I think stuck with stock sliders unless they are doing a custom game. So they get what they get which isnt very realistic. But offline easy fix.
