Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
Thanks! We don't have as good of a team this year as we have in some of the years in the past, but the Big East was pretty weak this year and we managed to take advantage, despite a few bad losses.Comment

#15 West Virginia (23-10) vs. Rutgers (22-11)
Madison Square Garden
New York, NY
March 14th, 2024
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights earned a hard-fought win this evening to move on to the semifinal round of the Big East Tournament tomorrow as they defeated the 15th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers 61-57. This win proves to be a huge boost to Rutgers' NCAA Tournament hopes as it certainly gets them involved as an at-large candidate.
For the Mountaineers, it was a day permeated by struggles all over the court. The Mountaineer shot just 28% from the field and only tallied eight assists. The only statistics going in WVU's favor were turnovers (3) and free throws (23-for-30).
Rutgers shot 50% from the floor, but 10 turnovers and a second-chance opportunities on the offensive glass by the Mountaineers kept this one rather close.
Senior forward Rex Montrimas led the Scarlet Knights with 20 points and eight rebounds. Noah Souchu added 16 points and three rebounds.
Daryan Fitzwater was the only Mountaineer to eclipse 10 points.
Rutgers will face No. 2 Pittsburgh in their Big East semifinal matchup tomorrow evening. West Virginia will watch the rest of the tournament from the stands and await their selection into the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
Tough early exit, definitely wasn't expecting Rutgers to bounce you out. Even worse that Pitt wins the tournament, but with the resume West Virginia has they should get a decent seed -- I'm guessing a 4 or 5 seed.My Dynasties

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
Grats on the 5 seed. I was worried you might drop to a 6 but you have had far too many marquee wins this year.
What is your biggest worry about your team making it to the second week of the tournament?
edit: just wanted to add an "oh yeah," to Wake Forest. It's so funny to see how they're doing here, because they're currently the annual ACC punching bag in my dynasty. This year or last year their squad was rated 78 OVR at the start of the season.Comment

Yes, Wake Forest has been dominant in this legacy. It sounds like they are your Wake Forest is equivalent to my DePaul!
La Salle is another team that has just been great this legacy. They, along with Duquesne, have been great in the A-10 this legacy.Comment
