Yes, he is! Size is a bit overpowered in this game, too, so his 7'2" size makes him pretty unstoppable. That's been one of the big limiting factors of Skip Bradford over his career here. He has a great skill set, but at 6'9" he can really struggle against larger defenders.

Yep! I think this may be the first time I have played NC State in this legacy, too (I may be wrong on that one, though?). And for a title, too!

Freshman small forward Felipe Delgado also hit five three-pointers to end with 16 points and five rebounds.

West Virginia (4-0) led 36-24 at halftime, and the Mountaineers erupted in the second half to put the game away with a 48-30 second half performance.

The Mountaineers shot 43% (27/63) from the floor and 43% (13/30) from three-point range. The Mountaineers were particularly dominant on defense, where they blocked eight shots and held the Wolfpack to 38% (21/56) shooting. WVU also held a decisive advantage on the glass (39-27) and at the free throw line (17/24 vs. 6/12).

Nice game for Delgado off the bench. 5 of 7 from 3pt must have been nice to get on a night with DeLeon struggling to find his shot.

I really though your would have a closer game

Yeah, Delgado should be a good one. I thought it'd be closer, as well, but when this team clicks we're basically unstoppable, it seems.

Dedrick Packevicius hit four three-pointers and scored 16 points to lead No. 2 West Virginia to their sixth win of the season against No. 13 Boston College in Chestnut Hill. Tonight's 80-64 loss was the Eagles' first loss of the season after starting 5-0.

West Virginia got off to a hot start and led by 20, 42-22, at halftime. The Eagles battled back in the second half, but could never cut the deficit to under 10 points as the Mountaineers cruised to a comfortable 16-point victory.

Sophomore forward Shagari Proffitt scored 12 points to lead Boston College in scoring. Austin Davis added 11 points and five rebounds and Erik Bannister also scored 11 points.

"We're playing really well right now, and tonight was no different," beamed West Virginia head coach James Frizzell after the game. "Boston College has a great squad and they showed some character battling back in the second half like they did. It's always tough to win on the road, so I'm proud of how we played tonight."

Next, West Virginia will host No. 18 Virginia on November 29th.

This year is starting to look a bit special in terms of how far this team can go (Knock on wood). It’s obviously early yet, but even given the standard already established this team looks very good thus far!

Yeah, I am excited about this team. The combination of shooting and size and ability inside is unmatched by anything I've had in the past, IMO. This could finally be the year we pull off the undefeated season. Or not.

No. 2 West Virginia steamrolled their way to their eighth win in eight games this evening with an 89-63 road victory over Washington.

West Virginia's 7'2" freshman Nik Buscher set career marks in points, rebounds, and assists as he bullied his way to 25 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists.

"He's going to be a great one for us," said West Virginia head coach James Frizzell after the game. "Let me correct myself, he is a great one now. His size and length really anchors our defense and he's really coming into his own on the offensive end, as well. And his rebounding is elite, as well."

Shannon Edwards added 11 points and four rebounds for the Mountaineers (8-0), and Myron DeLeon scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds on 6/16 shooting. Ije Przybyszewski also tallied 17 points and five assists and hit five three-pointers in nine tries.

The Mountaineers shot 47% (33/70) from the field and won the turnover battle 13-6 over the Huskies (4-3). Washington struggled mightily from the free throw line, where they shot just 52% (14/27).

Cameron Kampman led Washington in scoring with 14 points and five rebounds. Daryl Stallworth tallied 13 points and five rebounds from off the bench and Monty Goff also scored 13.

The Mountaineers led by double digits for the majority of the game as the Huskies, who have struggled to live up to expectations so far this season, were simply outclassed and outplayed.

West Virginia has seven days off before a huge game at home against No.
                                16 Virginia Tech next Sunday.
