You got lucky with Delgado sticking around for another season. Still going to be a huge hole to fill with Buscher leaving. Congrats on another natty coach!

Yeah, I can’t believe he came back. I expected him to leave and wouldn’t been shocked if Pasco left, either. Him coming back definitely helps us a lot going into next year. We’re going to be loaded with wings.

            2036 Recruiting Class

With some big shoes to fill as a result of graduation and the NBA Draft, West Virginia head coach James Frizzell hauled in another great class, bringing in four recruits, three of which were 5* All-Americans.

Barry Henning headlines this year's class for Frizzell. Henning is the top-ranked shooting guard in this year's class and the No. 3 overall player. The 6'7" guard, who hails from Rocky Mount, NC, is an All-American and Mr. Basketball out of the state of North Carolina. Henning is an excellent all-around player with great athleticism and ability to finish around the basket. At this point, his jump shot has some room to grow, but when and if he improves his outside shooting ability, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Johnny Riggs is another 5* recruit who comes to Morgantown as the No. 2-ranked small forward, and the No. 8 overall recruit in this year's recruiting class. The 6'6" forward comes from Erie, PA, where he was Pennsylvania's Mr. Basketball and an All-American. Like Henning, he has tremendous athleticism and is a good finisher around the basket. He is also a good shooter, particularly in the 15-20 ft. range.

Darrel Iguodala is the second shooting guard Frizzell signed in this year's class. He is a little smaller than Henning at 6'5" and comes across the country from Santa Maria, CA, where he was an 5* All-American. Iguodala is ranked as the No. 8 shooting guard and the No. 22 overall recruit in this year's class. Iguodala is a solid shooter and a good defender. He has great leaping ability and showed off his hops with some excellent dunks in high school and on the AAU circuit.

Finally, Tasmir Nelson was signed late in this year's class. Nelson is a rare 3* recruit and is the No. 9-ranked center and the No. 139-ranked overall recruit in this year's class. Nelson has good size and fills a need going forward for the Mountaineers, as he will compete for the backup center job next season for the Mountaineers. Nelson is also surprisingly athletic and has good ball-handling skills for his size and strength.

"We brought in another great crop of kids," explained Frizzell. "All four of these guys are great kids and have a lot of talent to boot. I can't wait to get started working with them this fall. We're going to have a lot of fun."

This year's class is the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation. After losing some key pieces this offseason from the defending national championship-winning team, the Mountaineers truly are reloading.

            Signed Recruits:
            1. Barry Henning 6'7 209 (Rocky Mount, NC - #3 overall, #1 SG) 5* All-American, Mr. Basketball
            2. Johnny Riggs 6'6 201 (Erie, PA - #8 overall, #2 SF) 5* All-American, Mr. Basketball
            3. Darrel Iguodala 6'5 199 (Santa Maria, CA - #22 overall, #7 SG) 5* All-American
            4. Tasmir Nelson 6'10 213 (Laredo, TX - #139 overall, #9 C) 3*

Great looking group of guys. Nelson’s height should help you, and there’s a good possibility he’ll hit 7’ before he graduates

I had to dip a little lower in the list of prospects to get a center this year, but like you said Nelson has the size I typically look for and I think he’s a bit of a diamond in the rough, possibly. He’ll require some seasoning and will definitely redshirt next year, but I think he can be a contributor in a few years.

The other players I brought in look fantastic, though we may have too many options at SG/SF now, so someone’s going to get the short end of the stick, inevitably. I will probably redshirt one of those guys.

I thought this was going to be somewhat of a transition year, but it would seem that this team is, on paper, every bit as good as last season. Delgado coming back was huge, but guys like Stefon Hull are also going to get heavy minutes and an opportunity to shine this season.

Yeah, they look like they're going to be good and at least a couple of them should get heavy minutes right off the bat, I think.
