Yeah, we really struggled in the first half versus ECU, but I guess we made it up in the second half. We've got a pretty weak schedule coming up (until the Virginia Tech game), so maybe the team (me?) is just putting it on cruise control.

Thanks, bud. Yeah, I need to check out your thread. I'm pretty far behind reading some of the other dynasties on here right now. I'll get caught up, I promise!

        Hulman Center
        Terre Haute, IN
        December 6th, 2036

Stefon Hull scored a game-high 12 points as No. 1 West Virginia (7-0) cruised to an easy 68-48 win over the Indiana State Sycamores (6-2) this evening in Terre Haute.

Indiana State got a rare chance to host a top-flight team at their home arena, but they didn't take advantage of it as they could scarcely hit a shot in the first half and scored a season-low 12 points in the game's first 20 minutes, trailing 32-12 at the break.

The Sycamores performed better in the second half, but it was too little, too late as West Virginia went on to win 68-48.

Junior point guard Bennet Gonzales totaled 10 points, five rebounds, and five assists to lead Indiana State in scoring.

West Virginia will head to another mid-major arena next Wednesday to take on the Niagara Purple Eagles.

Yeah, this team is very good and our upcoming schedule is pretty week over the next few games. I’m surprised at how well we’ve played these year.

                    Niagara Falls, NY
                    December 10th, 2036

Carson Lavender totaled 18 points and six rebounds to lead No. 1 West Virginia (8-0) to an easy 69-53 win over the Niagara Purple Eagles (6-3) on the road this evening.

Lavender was the only Mountaineer to score in double-figures, though head coach James Frizzell made extensive use of the bench once the Mountaineers opened up a sizable lead in the second half.

Niagara made a late run to pull to within 16 points at the final buzzer against West Virginia's backups to make the game look closer than it really was.

Sophomore guard Andrew Meeking scored 12 points to lead Niagara in scoring, but he shot just 2/12 from the field. Dale Atchinson also added 10 points and four assists.

The Purple Eagles shot just 33% (16/49) from the field this evening, but they did make up for their poor shooting to some extent at the free throw line, where they shot 18/24 (75%). West Virginia shot a comparatively better 44% (28/64) from the floor.

Next, West Virginia will return to Morgantown to host Saint Peter's on Sunday.

Stefon Hull scored 21 points to lead No. 1 West Virginia (9-0) to an easy 80-55 victory this evening over Saint Peter's (4-4).

Felipe Delgado added 14 points and Belton Mombollet turned in his best performance of the season, tallying 14 points, seven rebounds, and a career-best seven steals. Carson Lavender scored a double-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals.

The Mountaineers forced Saint Peter's into 20 turnovers this evening. West Virginia led 38-20 at the half and led comfortably throughout the second half to win by 25 points.

Sophomore guard Bart Pocius scored 12 points to lead Saint Peter's in scoring. Darcel Bridgewater also added 10 points.

West Virginia has two days off before hosting the Rice Owls, who are off to a surprising 4-0 start this season. They have yet to face a team the caliber of West Virginia, however.

I've only read like 10 pages of this so far but I am already hooked. I don't think I've ever seen anyone have a dynasty even close to this long!

Thanks, and enjoy! Yes, it's been going on awhile; we'll be at 11 years in a couple weeks. I hope to finish off the 40-year career legacy, and I'm about 30 seasons in now, so that will still probably be a few real life years off.

Awesome. I'm probably going to start posting one of my own. I really hope I can't make it forty years without a new college hoops game coming out (though I probably can )

Congrats on another National championship James! Nik was an absolute beast, sad to see him leave early but like you said it was expected. Let’s hope you can make another deep run this season!

                                I look forward to it!

The beauty of no new college hoops games is that it has allowed me to make a lot longer-tenured legacy than I ever would’ve been able to in a calendar year. On the whole, it’s bad that CH 2K8 was canceled, though. I never thought when this game was canceled in 2008 that I would still be playing it over a decade later.

Yeah, I loved Nik! The title was definitely fulfilling. We’ve got another really good team this season. I don't think we’re quite as good as last year, but we are still good enough to win the title depending on how things fall.
