Absolutely love whenever I see this get updated. Delgado looks like quite the player, he's been on a tear recently.Comment

Thanks, bud! Yeah, Delgado is a good one! I was fortunate he didn’t declare for the NBA after last season (he definitely would’ve in real life)!Comment

Two crazy close games.. Are the mountaineers running out of steam...? Hope not!!Comment

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
I think there's definitely a case to be made that this team isn't quite as good as the record suggests. We've had some close calls, and eventually we're going to end up on the wrong side of one of those....Comment

#1 West Virginia (20-1) vs. Providence (7-10)
WVU Coliseum
Morgantown, WV
January 28th, 2037
Carson Lavender scored 20 points and hauled in five rebounds to lead No. 1 West Virginia (20-1, 9-0) to a 68-59 victory tonight over the Providence Friars (7-10) in Rhode Island.
The Mountaineers jumped all over Providence at the start of the game and led 42-28 at halftime, but the Friars battled back in the second half and cut the lead to single digits during the closing minutes of the game. The Mountaineers won by nine points, but few would have expected West Virginia to win this one by single-digits coming in to tonight.
West Virginia shot nearly 60% from the floor in the first half and scored 42 points, but the tables turned in the second half, when the Mountaineers could nary score a basket for long stretches and only managed 26 points in total in the game’s final 20 minutes.
Belton Mombollet scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for West Virginia and Felipe Delgado added 11 points.
Josko Dawn totaled 14 points, five assists, and four steals for Providence. John David Guzman added 12 points and four assists and Aki Truscott scored 10 points.
West Virginia will host Louisville next on Saturday. The Cardinals have only won one conference game thus far this season.
