Two major beat-downs! Looking good heading into your final four matchup. This HAS to be your best team. You've done a fantastic job creating a team to your style of play as well as creating a very big lineup. Bravo. Now you just have to finish the job!
Good luck!

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
My only knock on this team is the lack of depth at the guard position, but I can run a four-man rotation at the PG/SG/SF positions with Trammell/Joiner/Summers/Woodards all basically getting starters' minutes (though these games as of late have been blowouts, so I've emptied the bench for half of the second half).Last edited by superjames1992; 01-23-2015, 08:50 PM.Comment

vs.
(5) Texas Tech (25-11) vs. (1) West Virginia (35-2)
Alamo Dome
San Antonio, TX
NCAA Tournament - National Semifinals
April 1st, 2028
After losing in the national semifinal the past two seasons, top-seeded West Virginia (35-2) is headed to the title game on Monday! Tonight, the Mountaineers blew out Texas Tech 95-48 to advance to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Game, where they will face off against fellow #1-seed Duke.
Tonight in San Antonio, the Red Raiders (25-11) had no chance. As in past games, the Mountaineers emerged early and showed that they were going to take control of the game. It was another fine shooting night for the Mountaineers, but tonight they also locked it down defensively, holding the Red Raiders to just 30% on field goals and 21% from beyond the arc.
It was sweet revenge for West Virginia, as these two teams matched up against one another in last year's Final Four, where Texas Tech defeated the Mountaineers 71-66 and won the National Championship over Boston College.
The Red Raiders' severe lack of size was also glaringly on display as the Mountaineers embarrassed Texas Tech in the rebounding category, where they held a 47-17 advantage.
Tre Welch led WVU with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Nile Stevenson added 17 points, five rebounds, and two blocks while Deno Woodards ended with 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Waitari Trammell totaled 10 points, six assists, and three steals while Fred Joiner came off the bench to add 20 points, three rebounds, and three steals.
Lucas Kent was Texas Tech's only double-digit scorer. He scored 10 points.
#1-seeded Duke knocked off fellow #1 seed North Carolina 101-94 in tonight's other semifinal matchup. The Blue Deveils have been hot in this tournament, but their lack of size may cost them in Monday night's championship match against the Mountaineers. WVU is likely to be a heavy favorite.

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
I'll post it tonight.
I've definitely got some slider changes on tap for next season. I've done some testing and I think I'm going to do three things:
1.) Switch to All-American. MOP gets a little funky sometimes, IMO, but All-Conference seems to be getting easier.
2.) This is probably the most important of all. I will lower all of my shooting sliders by one point.
3.) Turn down the CPU's drive tendency from 100 to 60. This will hopefully result in slower-paced games.Comment

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
Perhaps.
The problem has really been two-fold in this tournament. Not only was Texas Tech, for example, a really small team, but they also only had one backup as a forward and he was an SF. They had a PG covering my PF during a large portion of the game, for goodness' sake. I hope that's not something I see more of in the future and was just a one-off "lucky draw".
It kind of sucks because it's not even really fun when you're up so much so early... hence the changes.Comment
