Yes! Given recent events regarding the Coronavirus and the resulting need to step back my social life some, I may be bringing this back again soon as I will need to fill my free time.

But I hope everyone stays safe!!!

Haha, thanks. Yeah, this has been going for a long time, nearly half my life (I am 27 now and started this when I was 15).

I guess today is the 12-year anniversary of this thread, actually.

Are you playing this on PS2 or have you moved to something else? Always wondered if this could be played on PS4? I live in Ireland so College Hoops was always region locked for us, so I just never bothered, but I'm determined to find a way to play it!!!

You can't play it on PS4, most of the people who play dynasties play it on xbox360 or ps3. It's the greatest sports game of all time imo, the career legacy is very in depth and awesome

I’m on Xbox 360! Sounds like it’s not backwards compatible on PS4 based on RolePlayer’s answer below, unfortunately!

Yes! I would add that I’ve generally heard the Xbox 360 version is a little better, FWIW, in case you were purchasing a console just for this game. I’ve only ever played the Xbox 360 version, though, so I can’t speak to that from personal experience.

                      Morgantown, WV
                      January 17th, 2037

No. 1 West Virginia (17-1, 6-0) breezed by Cincinnati (8-9, 0-5) this evening 82-61 to advance to 6-0 in Big East Conference play. West Virginia led 38-23 at halftime and maintained their lead in the second half to win by 21 points.

Stefon Hull scored a game-high 21 points and hit six three-pointers for West Virginia. Belton Mombollet added 14 points and five rebounds and Felipe Delgado totaled 13 points and four rebounds. Damond Pasco tallied an impressive 11-point, 10-assist double-double at point guard for the Mountaineers.

Freshman guard Emmett Atkins scored 17 points to lead the Bearcats in scoring while Branden Paul just missed out on a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

The Mountaineers shot 49% (33/68) from the floor while holding Cincinnati to 36% (17/47) shooting and 19 turnovers. The Bearcats did outrebound West Virginia 32-31, but a lot of this had to do with how often West Virginia turned over the struggling Bearcats offense, which generated just 23 points in the game's first 20 minutes.

West Virginia will host Rutgers next Wednesday.

No. 1 West Virginia (18-1, 7-0) escaped with their undefeated Big East Conference record intact with a narrow come-from-behind 63-60 victory this evening over Rutgers (10-7, 2-5) at home in Morgantown.

The Mountaineers trailed 60-55 with one minute remaining, but Stefon Hull hit his second three-pointer of the game to cut the Rutgers lead to 60-58 with 57 seconds left in regulation. After a key defensive stop, Felipe Delgado got past his defender on a drive and slammed down a thunderous dunk while being fouled. He made the subsequent free throw to complete the old fashioned three-point play to put the Mountaineers up 61-60 with just 9.7 seconds remaining.

West Virginia made a blunder on Rutgers' last-chance possession, however, as Delgado fouled Rutgers freshman forward Cordell Collison. The Scarlet Knights were in the double-bonus and if he made both free throws, they would likely win the game with just 3.5 seconds remaining at the time of the free throw attempts. Collison was 5/7 from the line at that point, but he proceeded to clank both free throws off the iron and Felipe Delgado got the rebound. Delgado was fouled and converted both free throw attempts, putting the Mountaineers up 63-60 with just a couple seconds remaining. Rutgers' last-second heave from three-quarter court was nowhere near going in and West Virginia escaped with another close victory.

"I'm happy with how we closed out tonight," explained West Virginia head coach James Frizzell. "We really put things together when it really counted. However, I'm not happy with how we played tonight at all. We didn't shoot well, which I can live with. That happens. But we were also dominated on the glass, and there's no excuse for that with our size advantage."

West Virginia was outrebounded by Rutgers a season-worst 41-28. West Virginia did block eight shots as a team, though, and held Rutgers to 38% shooting (20/52). Unfortunately, the Mountaineers sent Rutgers to the free throw line 30 times. Fortunately for West Virginia, Rutgers converted just 18 of them (60%).

The Mountaineers shot a respectable 40% (23/58) from the floor, but shot just 5/22 (23%) from three-point range.

Felipe Delgado scored 18 points and nine rebounds to lead West Virginia in both statistical categories. Carson Lavender was the only other player to reach double-digits with 10 points, six rebounds, and a career-best four blocks.

7'0" senior center Dannorriss Mulic dominated down low for Rutgers with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Cordell Collison added 13 points and four rebounds and Konrad Rice scored 12 points.

West Virginia will travel to Philadelphia, PA to take on the Villanova Wildcats this Saturday. Villanova struggled out of conference this year, but they are off to a perfect 5-0 start in conference play and sport an 11-5 overall record.
