good presentation but fielding is down right horrible

Playable but not great.

Great presentation marred by sub-par gameplay. Of course Gary Thorne surpasses Joe Morgan, but the wonky analog pitching and hitting, too many homers, and the soft graphics make it another subpar entry.

Exclusive licenses suck...that is all.

Underwhelming in a lot of ways, and it feels like a late beta build. It needs a couple more months in the developers hands. It's still very playable and hopefully with a patch we can see this game reach it's potential, which I feel is probably an 8/10.

I gave it a chance, while it was improved over last year, that does not mean it should be heralded.

There is a ton of flaws still prevalent with this series. And most of them just take away from the fun factor to me. This is the 'next gen' consoles, and they have yet to get it right.

The game has the potential to be a nine. But 7.5 is enough of a baseball game to kee me tied over for this year. I'd like to give it an 8.0 because I'm pretty psyched about the online play performance. But it's not fair to overlook many of the glitches that are still present.

I have never been so disappointed in a baseball game as I was with this piece of garbage. This finally did it for me and forced me to get a PS3 so I can play the Show that I have only heard great things about. So long 2k Sports, you guys are truly garbage.

While flawed, if the aggression is toned down, I think this game could be great. It's good for me as it is right now, though there are still some flaws.

3 up, 3 down

+Presentation is good. Really good.
+Graphics, while maybe not going to blow you away, fit together really well.
+Pitching, hitting, and fielding systems are fluid and the controls work really well.

-Some fielding errors and the speed for fielders is a bit slow.
-Hitters aggression is really high. Can still get Ks with the right settings, but realistic pitch counts are out unless patched.
-Can be easy to get hits or to "cheat" for HRs.

Overall, a good experience for the casual gamer or for those who haven't had "next-gen" baseball yet.

An overage baseball game. It does offer moments of fun, but the problems keep it from being a solid title. If they could clean up the issues and tighten up the gamplay, then it has potential to be a pretty good game of baseball. However even with those fixes it would still be lagging WAY behind The Show. If you have a 360, maybe rent it this year and try it out first. If you have a PS3, there's no reason to even consider this game over MLB 09 unless your a rabid 2K fan and willing to accept mediocrity in the name of brand loyalty.
