They are ranked #1. I made a typo in my previous top 25 standings and put UConn in twice. It is corrected now.

This is an outstanding dynasty. I will have to go though and finally read all of this one day. Good luck in the tournament but that is a tough draw man.

Thanks. I simmed a few games in my first season or two (maybe three or four total games), but I've played every game since then. It's much more enjoyable to me to play them all, even though it does make the seasons last for quite awhile.

                  #21 West Virginia (24-11) vs. Georgetown (17-15)
                  Madison Square Garden
                  New York, NY
                  March 12th, 2025

West Virginia (24-11) got revenge for their early 91-67 pasting at Georgetown on March 1st as the Mountaineers slayed the Hoyas (17-15) 80-70 in the first round of the 2025 Big East Tournament this afternoon at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

The Mountaineers never trailed and led by as many as 18 points in the second half before collapsing in the final few minutes and allowing the Hoyas to get within eight points. Nevertheless, the Mountaineers recovered and were able to edge by the Hoyas with a 10-point victory.

West Virginia held a profound advantage at the free throw line where they hit 27 of their 33 free throw attempts. In comparison, Georgetown only made it to the line 19 times and hit 13 of their attempts. In the end, this proved to be the decisive aspect of the game as the two teams enjoyed relative parity in most of the other statistical categories.

Len Shields led the Mountaineers with 17 points and nine boards. Tre Welch notched a double-double with 10 points, 12 rebounds, five steals, and three blocks while Barry George and Randall Norton added 15 and 14 points, respectively. D.C. Montgomery also added 11 points and four boards.

Georgetown was led by Brannon Urbina's 16 points and seven rebounds. Darrian Harrison added 15 points, three rebounds, four assists, and three steals while 6'7" shooting guard Terry Hill added 13 points.

West Virginia will face Connecticut tomorrow. The Huskies are the Big East Tournament's #1 seed and are ranked #2 in the entire country. The Mountaineers lost to the Huskies 89-77 in Morgantown a week ago and will certainly have their work cut out for them tomorrow. Win or lose, the Mountaineers should be heading dancing, however, as the Mountaineers are currently projected as the #5 seed in the Salt Lake City bracket of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

                      New York, NY
                      March 13th, 2025

After losing by 12 a week ago at home to the Connecticut Huskies (27-5), the West Virginia Mountaineers (25-11) returned the favor this afternoon in Madison Square Garden as WVU recovered from a six-point halftime deficit to defeat the No. 2 Huskies 88-76.

No. 21 West Virginia trailed 40-34 at halftime, but shot lights-out in the second half en route to 54 points in the final frame of play. The Mountaineers kicked off the half on a 13-2 run and never really let the Huskies back into the game.

After torching the Mountaineers with 33 points in their first matchup, Chauncey Gogerty was held in check this afternoon. Though he still scored 19 points, he only shot six-for-17 from the field and one-for-six from beyond the arc. Cyril Munir added 15 points from off the bench for the Huskies while Sylvester Halcomb chipped in 13 points and five assists.

The Mountaineers were led by D.C. Montgomery's 19 points and three rebounds. Len Shields had a monstrous game, totaling 16 points and 16 rebounds, while Tre Welch tallied 12 points, four rebounds, and a pair of blocks. Randall Norton scored 14 points in 26 minutes of action before spraining his ankle in the final few minutes of the game. He is listed as day-to-day and his status is unsure for tomorrow's game against Cincinnati.

The Mountaineers will face off against the Cincinnati Bearcats tomorrow evening in the Big East Tournament Semifinals. The Bearcats upset No. 3-seeded Notre Dame in their quarterfinal matchup 88-80.

Thata boy! Great run you've had so far in the Big East Tournament! Hopefully this will be a nice résumé builder for the NCAA tourney.

Best of luck in the semi finals against Cincinnati.

Upside down tournament pretty much. Gotta love it.
