Players running, jumping and walking like robots? I don't call that an authentic football game feeling. Adding a few cut scenes here and there doesn't make a realistic football sim. It still is the same game with the same areas needing improvement like back in 2006 when it got launched on next-gen consoles. Realism of tackling is still a big issue like defense in general. "Everything you see on Sunday"??? Sorry, not in this game. For a next-gen football "sim" in its 6th year now Madden still is the same disappointing, overhyped game that it was back in late 2005. To make a long story short: the developers keep on congratulating themselves for allegedly heralding a whole new era of football games but the truth is far away from that. What has really, significantly changed since the first next-gen edition of Madden? Let alone the fact this game has never been as realistic as it should be.

i give 1 out of 10 because literally 1 out of 10 things actually got fixed...it should actually lose points for nerfing the special teams and kick meter. why can't ea just be honest with the fans...if it can't be fixed, too bad...move on...don't just band aid it like we're too stupid to see it.

Same game as the last two years...few tweaks but this is not made for fans, rather than the average video gamer..

terrible game....this franchise is going backwards

they need to redesign a completely new physics engine complete with new player ratings that actually mean something for each player to give them distinctions

They also need to start thinking about taking AI to a new level and have it really start to think and behave like NFL Coaches and athletes

Scripted, motion captured pre redendered animations are yesterday's news

BackBreaker gave us a good taste of what immersive and exciting gameplay can be acheived when dynamic physics are used in place of scripted Mo Caps

Madden is long overdue for a serious overhaul

Simply just a great football game. Yet again Madden is able to deliver the goods.

This is my first Madden for PS3, as with the last few versions I purchased for PS2, the game feels clunky. My main issue is (as with NCAA) the needless complete revamping of the controls from the PS2 version. The menu systems are often confusing and in some cases their organization doesn't even make sense. For example, why is the roster breakdown menu organized by division and position so that each page shows a whole division with 1 position at a time? Because of this, I have to keep going through menus to look to see my teams breakdown rather than seeing my whole team breakdown on one page in the PS2 version. Furthermore, it doesn't even tell me how many players I have so I don't know how many (if any) open roster spots I have. The frequent changes in camera angle during play are distracting and sometimes make it difficult to follow what is going on. There are apparently no formation subs and trying to sub in the playcall screen will often result in a delay of game. There are far to many cut scene videos that are also distracting and slow down the pace of the game. This game has become far to complex and requires to much thinking to be fun. Playing the game is more like a chore than relaxation.

Edited: It may just be that I haven't played this enough, but it seems way too easy to break for big runs in this game. Additionally the audio track is among the worst in any games I've every played, the only redeeming factor is Chris Collinsworth, but the rest of it is awful.
